State of the Collection 2025

The last time I documented the state of my collection, one, it was incomplete, and two, it was over two years ago! Some pens have come and gone, some are up for sale, some have stayed in the collection since the beginning of time, but regardless, they have all been and still are all special to me. You may recall my Fishbowl for pens that I am still actively using as well. Technically this is my collection at the end of last year, but it’s 2025, so here we are:

I will leave links to reviews if they exist and just like last time, if there is no link, a future review is in store!

Row 1

  1. Levenger L-Tech 3.0 in Stealth
  2. Lamy Studio Lx in Stealth
  3. Platinum Kanazawa Leaf – The Moon and a Rabbit
  4. Esterbrook Estie Raven
  5. Leonardo Momento Zero in Matte Black with Ruthenium trim
  6. Leonardo x Stilo&Stile Momento Zero – Kintsugi
  7. Esterbrook x FWP Estie – Nebulous Plume
  8. Esterbrook x BUNGUBOX – Kachofugetsu Flower
  9. Navalur x Enigma Nautilus – Brilliant Bunny
  10. Fine Writing Instruments Golden Armour
  11. Pelikan M200 Golden Beryl

In the top row, I still feature most of my black pen collection (it just contrasts with the yellow felt so well!) as well as my gold accent pens. The transition point was either going to be with the Leonardo MZs or with the Esties since I have paired pens in those designs.

Row 2

  1. Pelikan M805 Souveran – Ocean Swirl
  2. BENU Talisman – Edelweiss
  3. Atelier Lusso Andromeda – Teal Agate
  4. 3952 Abalone Shell Fountain Pen
  5. Y-Studio Classic Revolve in Copper
  6. Pilot Custom Art Craft – Kaede
  7. Navalur Nautilus – Year of the Rabbit
  8. Pineider La Grande Bellezza – Honeycomb Rose Gold
  9. TWSBI Eco in White and Rose Gold
  10. Platinum Century 3776 Nice – Rose Gold
  11. Platinum Century 3776 – Shape of Heart

The middle row features some of my rarer gems and favourites – my rose gold accented pens as well as my Teal/Copper toned pens. I still enjoy seeing the gradient of the dark teal and copper tones transition into the lighter rose gold accents.

Row 3

  1. Lamy Safari – Petrol
  2. Lamy Safari – Mango
  3. Pilot Vanishing Point – Mandarin Yellow
  4. Pilot Lucina – Yellow
  5. FWP Brush pen – Yellow
  6. FWP Brush pen – Echoes of Eaton
  7. Tailored Pen Company Churchhill – Tiffany Stained Glass
  8. Scriptorium Pens Idyll – White Abalone
  9. Montegrappa Game of Thrones – House Stark
  10. Retro 51 – Cat Rescue 5
  11. Ensso Bolt Fountain Pen

The last row features most of my yellow pen collection as well as some more one-offs and customs. While it’s hard not to initially think of the the last row as the ‘bottom rung’ of misfits and leftovers, I like to tell myself I’ve curated the three rows very deliberately and each one is special for individual reasons. That is the case here – Yellow is my favourite colour, yet I also want to balance the striking yellow-bodied pens from the yellow felt background in the first row. The hardware accents are also placed in such a way as to not clash too much with one another. Gold hardware in the top row, Rose gold in the second row, and silver (if present) in the third.

If you’ve been following along on the blog, you’ll probably notice that there is no way I ONLY have 33 pens in my collection. That is an accurate observation, so here are some more!

Notebook Shelf

I am very fond of and cherish greatly my rainbow-ordered notebook collection. Of course, then, I also like to colour coordinate the objects and items that I place on the shelf as well along with the notebooks. For pens that didn’t make it into the Fishbowl, I place on the shelf. These pens could include some of the more entry-level editions or pens I don’t pick up as often and felt would work well on specific shelves on display.

In the Red to Yellow hue

  1. Opus 88 – Omar Flora
  2. Lamy lx – Rose Gold
  3. Kaweco Sport Sunset Yellow – Fontoplumo edition
  4. FWP Carousel Aluminum – Fluttering Heart
  5. Platinum Preppy
  6. Pilot Penmanship
  7. Muji Fountain Pen

In the Green to Purple hue

  1. Kaweco Classic Sport – Pearl Iridescent
  2. Kaweco x Hello Kitty Classic Sport – Moonlit Pink

Bonus Turtle
Some of my favourites and most coveted in the collection. Grail pens if you will.

  1. Platinum Century 3776 – Oshino
  2. Montblanc Meisterstuck – Classic Glacier
  3. Scribo Feel – Spiaggia Rosa

Bonus II – A few that didn’t make the photo list, but I still keep collected at my art desk:

Oldie photo but a goodie, reminiscing on some no longer in the collection

That’s a wrap! Thanks for joining me as I recount the joys of my hobby.
Anything caught your eye? Okay bye for now!

  1. That’s an impressive stash! It is useful to take stock once in a while. A new year is ideal time, to appreciate what we have and consider whether there is anything lacking. (If there is a pen I still crave, I ask myself whether it would do anything that my present pens do not…usually, no).
It is great to see that the Online Campus Fluffy Cats still has a place in your collection. 😀🐈

    1. Yes! It is not pictured, but I will definitely cherish that one in the collection. It stays in a pen cup by my art desk 😀

Those are good questions to ask myself – I think I will do that this year and really appreciate what I do have 🙂

  2. Do you by chance have links to your drawer system and especially the felt inserts? I’ve been searching for something like that for two years!
